Default Battery relocate ?

Hey guys, I've been googling for a little while now, I have a del sol and I'm relocating the battery to the rear, I have the summit kit. Questions I have pertaining to this are Do I need a kill switch? also do I have to have a dry cell battery like an optima? I plan to enter some Auto X events over the summer and I'd like to take the car to strip and make a few passes as well. Thanks in advance

Whether you need a kill switch depends on the rules of the event you want to participate in.

A dry cell battery (also called sealed lead acid), preferably a AGM type is very nice because you can put it in any orientation, and also it does not leak or give off fumes.

I actually have a 35 Ah UPS battery in the middle of my spare tire. With the improved weight distribution, my car handles like a gawd dam porsche.
