LCA Bling! Expertise needed!
Hi there all! I was hoping somebody can educate me on my LCA problem. The thing is I would like to purchase a pair of LCA (bling! bling! in gold) for my 1996 integra and was wondering what all of you have to say about rubber bushings versus polyurethane. My car is a daily driver but I'm not too much of a conservative driver either (occasional ballzy moments!). I'm running GCs and Konis and was debating over Blox and Skunk2 gold LCAs. By all means, please share your knowledge and wisdom with me. I was told that for LCAs, rubber bushings are best so that would mean Skunk2 is out of the question.

Rubber bushings will outlast polyurethane bushings, period.
Polyurethane is stiffer than rubber, but tends to deform and not return to its original shape like rubber.
Polyurethane bushings are much more prone to binding than rubber, especially when the part has to move through more than one axis of rotation.
Polyurethane needs constant maintenance (greasing, etc) to prevent squeaking, and sometimes will squeak even with regular greasing.
Now my personal opinion on aftermarket LCA's is that Function7 arms are hands down the best, most well-designed LCA's on the market, with the best warranty (lifetime, including the special ES-designed bushings) and they have great customer service. No they do not come in the "blingety blizzang gold" that you want, but if the color is all you care about, then you might as well just get your stock LCA's gold-plated or something.

true, but it would be a shame to cover up the nice finish on the F7 LCA's.
Also you would need to be careful not to cover the F7 barcode and serial number label, as that could cause future problems with the warranty.

^damn! So irrelevant to what you want but F7 offers their LCAs in a black coating with no extra fees. So maybe, you could possibly get them in gold? Just talk to them personally, idk. Gold LCAs are ehhh anyway. =P
...and about the barcode sticker, as long as you take them off and stick them on your invoice or whatever you're good. We require the serial number from the barcode sticker for any warranty claims.
