I've had an EMS on my daily driver since within weeks of it coming out, and I have no idea what you even mean.

An EMS version 2 is coming out which means all the original boxes are on sale super cheap.

Check the Drag Racing forum. I would say 70% of the fastest cars use the AEM EMS. A step up would be Motec.

Most of the problems people would complain about with AEM are user related. I had trouble with reliable datalogging, but other than that and a few other very small things, the system works fine.

Forums are dangerous places in regards to generating opinions about certain products.

I don't know where you're getting your facts from to base your opinion on AEM EMS, but other than it being expensive, lots of pro-racers use AEM.

I personally use Hondata S300 only because I couldn't afford to dish out $1100 for AEM at the time.

For the most part AEM as with any standalone its only as good as the person behind the keyboard. I would make sure whoever is doing the tune is comfortable with the system before you go with it. If not and youre dead set on running it; find another tuner.

They have been great since a long time ago when they had issues with the initial units. Whenever you see an AEM EMS with the compact casing, they are always good.
