I am looking to replace the front end (As many of you know). What all CRX parts will bolt on to my 4g to make it look a little different/sportier. I like the CRX Si front bumpers a lot, but not sure if they will bolt on, especially w/ the filler panel there. Will the front/rear bumpers work, and what else?

Ok... The whole CRX front end bolts onto the Civic Hatch. The only problem you will have is at the ends where the lower fender meets the door. Notice that Civics do not have a modling there but rather a continuous sheet metal to the bottom. You woul dhave to some how cover that area with more metal added from your old civic fenders or something.

 

Moose. Will the CRX front bumper bolt up to the Civic HB fenders/hood and fit okay, and will I still have to get the little filler metal piece?

The CRX bumper will not line up perfectly to the Civic HB fenders. No need for the filler plate if you dont think your gonna use the civic front bumper again.

The Civic/CRX only share one piece of sheet metal, that is the hood, other than that, no body panels fit correctly w/o using more parts from a civic.

and still u gotta look at the differences....
for ex.. 88-89 and 90-91 are diff.... the front fenders are diff..... they got a diff design around the corner lights.,..... also the hood of some are longer than others... for example on the gap of the hood and the metal piece on top of the bumper..... the metal part i just mentioned its diff also...... corners changes sinnce u already know of the bolts......headlights are the same.....bumpers are the same.... althought i think CRX bumpers doesnt look as good as civics.....
anyone feel free to add......

 

will an 88-89 civic front bumper work on a 90-91 civic?

 

and if u wanna count the radiator support
