i was looking for a homelink upgrade. i googled for oem ones, the prices are all around 200, a little high. so i was wondering, anyone here has used aftermarket ones? do they work well? and the price? thanks in advance.

There are guys that bought used Homelink visor units from other cars for around $20 - $35 and retro-fitted them into their cars (albeit not a Honda). Just google homelink visor.

You may be able to place a Homelink transmitter somewhere else other than a visor.

 

the used one only costs $20 - $35? some of the originals are over $200!

 

These guys put in used ones in their Corvettes that they bought for around $20.
