Help with my custom front bumper!!!!
Im starting another thread on this because I need help separately from my build thread, on my front bumper.
Alright, well I'm stumped, I was thinking I was going to use foam to fabricate my front bumper, but I decided it would be hard to get that edge that sticks out between the two parts.
Here's what I've got going on right now, the bottom half of a ING's +1 replica bumper, and the top half of a random fiberglass bumper that fits (allegedly) my civic. (it needs some work.) this is what it looks like:

Here's where the issue is, if you look at the bumper from a side view it looks like this

top view looks like this:

How should I fab these together?! I don't know what would be best.
Here's one more diagram:

here are two ideas I thought of doing
first idea, was to spray expanding foam into the area that needs to be filled and fabricated. The only problem with this is that I have a feeling its going to be hard to get this edge to be perfectly straight and flat, as well as curved to the shape of the bumper.

Second idea was to use a metal frame of some kind and stretch some fabric over it, which can be saturated with resin and then sanded appropriately. etc etc, only problem with that is I don't know how to make the frame, or what from? Or where to "anchor" the other side of it?

Basically the question of this entire post is: "how the hell do I get these two bumpers to become one bumper?"
Thanks for reading! Any help is appreciated.

In this circumstance your best bet will be the frame Idea. Dont make it from metal, but use MDF or partical board. Your going to have to make Ribs per say, like in an airplanes wing. Its going to take some time to get it right. Each rib side to side will have to be the exact same or very close. Then temporarily place the 2 pieces in the correct alignment you want while you stretch the fleece and brush on the resin. There will def be some filler needed after all this just so you know. And a hella lot of sanding but it can be done.
Ok ok, good good.
Im still thinking about using a metal rod of some kind to bend in the shape of the bumper horizontally, then suspend that and make the ribs vertical to hold it up.
I think I need a trip to the hardware store, just to get some ideas.
