Default ep3 si seats in crx?

i was looking to put 03 si hatchbach seat in my crx, i found some on ebay but was wondering how the fitment is, mostly height wise? i know that the 94 gsr seats sit up to high and was wondering if anyone has done ep3 seats in there crx, and could give me a little heads up?

Depends some on the year... pillar-mounted seatbelt CRXs will have two flat slider rails, and would be the most likely to work. If you CRX has door-mounted belts, its hard enough to get flat bottom race seats to sit low enough with sliders.

i'd say pan swap em if you can. re-welding or modifying sliders / mounts makes me nervous....

I've seen RSX and EP3 seats in EFs and, quite frankly, it looks dumb. The seats are too new and too big for the EF body style. They nearly touch in the middle.

I thought they don't have a seat pan, so you can't swap them. You'd have to weld

i messure the demention of both the ep3 seat and my 88 crx si seat and they are almost the same all the around the only major difference is that from the ground to the head rest on the ep3 seat is 38in and the crx seat is only 34.5in, but the ep3 seat rail stands 3.5in tall, so actally the seat are the same size or with in a half inch of each other, which is close enough for me to call the same size, the problem i see, is like a lot of you have allready said, that ep3 seat dont really use a pan, the rails or kinda part of the seat structure, not sure how i'm going to mount them yet but, i have a few ideas on how i'm going to get them to sit as low as a stock seat, i'll have to cut and weld for sure

PM me! i'll toss some ideas at you. the mounts are almost the same as my fg seats. you have to cut all the bracketing off. you want to be left with 2 flat rails on the bottom of the seat, as low as you can go. i bought a set of weapon r seat brackets and all i had to do was weld on crossbeam and drill holes on the bracket, and drill holes through the seat rail for mounting. i'll get pics tonight.

i took both seat apart to get a better idea of how i'm going to mount them,
the foam from the bottom of the ep3 seat fit in to the crx pan almost prefect, but the mounts on the back rest are different,
the crx only has three bolts and the ep3 has four bolts that hold the back rest to the bottom part of the seat, its not that big of deal,
i think my fix will be to have a theaded bung's welded in on both side of the crx pan so that the ep3 back rest can be mounted properly on the crx pan,
then there is a few more small issuse i have to deal with
i have some crappy cell phone pic's ill post later today

this is how i'm going to mount my new seats in my crx, i took the ep3 seat apart, i un-bolted top and bottom sections from each other, i took the bottom part's foam out, i was left with the ep3 seat pan, it has the oem rail as part of the pan, i choped the rails as low as i could without removing any mounts, and then i mounted my stock crx rail in my car and what was left of the ep3 pan slids right over the crx rails, so now all's i have to do is have it welded, then well the same thing to the other side! when i do the drivers i'll take pictures, its just been trail and error today!

im sure that the 04 civic si "ep3" seat will sit as low as my stock crx seat when i am done, and be mounted safe
