Default exhaust question..

hey guys,

I have 1994 civic DX, automatic transmission...1.5L

Today I tilted my muffler to the side...btw, is that illegal? I'll provide pictures later...

but my question is I have a 2.25 inch pipe on my exhaust with a catalytic and a resonator..but the pipe that connects with the muffler is only 2 inches and the muffler is 2.5 and the outer tip is 4 inches but I put the silencer....

basically this is the set up..

resonator---2.25 inch pipe--resonator--2.25 inch pipe---2 inch pipe--muffler(2.50 inner..4 inchers outer tip)

My question is do you guys think that I lose pressure or is it going to make me lose power because I have a 2 inch pipe right before the muffler?? also which set up will make it the quietest with the 2 inch pipe before the muffler or with a 2.25 inch pipe before the muffler??

Edit -- Sorry move this to the Honda Civic 1992 -2000
Posted it in the wrong section.

exhaust tilted to the side is not illegal, you should really have 2.5 all the way if that is what you are leaning towards, but on a NA motor, all you really need is 2.25 all the way back.

sounds like your running 2 resonators, so sound shouldnt be nasty at all. what muffler do you have. with the 2.0 you probably wont notice the decrease in power, it is minimal, and you shouldnt notice it at all.

I am running one of those cheap Ebay mufflers(i know, not much to work with but I'm a poor college student)....and I bought one of those catalytic and resonators from the junk yard...and the pipe was also done at the junk yard...I'm not really trying to get any amazing power but at the same time I do not want to be stepping down on my accelerator and not getting far..
