I have a 94 accord ex now with a H22a1 swap 5 speed, i will be swaping out everything for a jdm H22a motor and tranny, what parts do i need swap the off the H22a1 to the H22a? Also i have an external coil setup now on my H22a1 motor and vtec does not work at the moment, does anyone have a link they can send me as far as wiring up the vtec the right way? I will be installing a skunk 2 intake manifold as well.

you shouldnt need any parts, h22a and h22a1 is the same motor, only real difference if internal/external coil.

it should drop right in, use the same exact plugs etc.

 

tell me your not just swapping it out for a similar but JDM motor?

you can wire vtec wires straight from vtec solenoid on motor (near dizzy) to the ECU pin outs, only 2 wires.

 

no my H22a1 has a about 95k on it and has a slight crack in the block right below where the head and block meet and leaks coolant from time to time.
