Yep, it was literally a motorcycle engine. They are even chain driven.
The rear differential assembly had those chain driven drop down hubs, which was amazing technology for it's time.

The S600 roadster is nice... but I'd LOVE to have an S600 coupe.

Beautiful cars and beautiful photos.

I was actually searching for a S600 coupe yesterday, 1 for sale in Germany, but you hardly see any of them around here.
