The motor will probably see a single fogger 85 wet shot ...so anyone with experience on cams that would work nicely with my setup please let me hear your information and suggestions...

why a y8 bottom end adn b7 head, why not use a y7 head, its better in every way than a b7 head. what chassis is this going into? Unless you already have the block id get a different bottom end than the y series, oiling issues are a bitch but if you have it make sure to port your oil pump but dont shim it. as for a cam either exospeed or bisimoto, id say a nitrous cam from bisi if your def. going to spray. other than that and a good tune seems good to me. what pistons are you planning on using

Im using the b7 head cause its what i had laying around the motor isnt together yet...unless i can source a y7 like your suggesting for cheap i always was under the impression b7 /a6/y7 heads were all the same...is there a faq on porting the oil pump ive heard of shimming but never porting...and the y8 bottom end is stock so i believe it has p2p in it ...also any impressions on the zex nitrous cam ?

thanks for the link it was a good read...but they aregue that increasing oil pressure may be harmful cause the engine wasnt designed that way rather they suggest using a higher quality oil...sohcinwa any suggestions on a street/strip nitrous cam ?

bisimoto, thats what hes going to tell you. he custom tailors all his cams to the motor he doesnt have an off the shelf grind. The y7 head is completely different than the b7/a6 head. It shares the same combustion chamber as a z6 but the ports are very different. Id suggest selling that b7 head and getting a y7, usually can be had very cheap

actually he has a few off the shell regrinds.....im considering his level 2 cam which is geared towards n/a and a level 2.3 i believe which is a nitrous profiled cam but requires upgraded springs...im looking for a nitrous profile cam to work with oem valvetrain to accomodate an 85 shot ....im trying to break 200 whp on the bottle on an oem d-series

than look into the level 1 cam. his site may say off the shelf but they are not. he tailors evey cam for the engine build. the 2.3 is a BIG cam and i doubt you need that one

f you plan any extended high rpm activity, then the springs are a must. The level 2.3 is optimized for N2O duty due to its unique exhaust cam profile. It will offer you the very best nitrous peformance. If you do not race the setup, then you could get away with stock springs. We would need your stock cam for the profile, and it take 7 business days to complete. We look forward to your order.

thats the message i got from there tech department so it looks like ill be using the level 2.3 cam
