2009 Civic SI Turbo Kit?
isn't the 09 civic the same k20 as the 08? i don't know of any kits off the top of my head but there are a few builds that i know of of 08 civics being boosted. I'd check in the forced induction and civic 06-current pages for more info.
The Greddy Kit is around 4k, but its kind of falsly advertised. It says its a direct bolt on kit, but you will need other parts to make it function correctly, so think of spending at least 5k for everything.
the new swift kit looks awesome, probably the best out right now. look into it

^damn, that's a badass ride. in the last video in that thread i noticed that the bov was going off while reving at a standstill. anybody know why the k20 builds boost without a load on the engine and b-series engines don't?
^^ Any turbo charged motor with a bypass valve or BOV will be enabled and make that sound if you rev the motor in the neutral, it has absolutely nothing to do with the a specific motor.
that's not true; my turbo'd gsr didn't go into boost no matter how high i reved in neutral. it'd only build boost while driving in gear.
I like this kit also, but I looked at their dyno graph and if you get the AJP HONDATA reflash the power comes on much earlier and doesn't fall off.
Those greddy kits are pobably good and very fun for the car because in all honesty when I go into boost in less than 3rd gear on the street it's too much power for these front drivers.
And what's that dude think about people that boost 350z's and G35's? He prolly thinks they are rich people haha.
Wait til you get older bro, you will have nice stuff too
yeah, i realize that the ajp and srt kits are in a different league than the greddy. greddy turbo kits have always been the shittier ones, even on the b-series cars. however, within a few years either their prices will drop or they'll be outsold by kits that cost less money. i remember when the drag kit for the gsr was like $4k. last time i checked they are now selling for $2600.
one way i can see to drop the prices of the ajp and srt kit is to use a smaller/cheaper turbo. both of these web sites are talking about how the kit is good for 600-700 whp, when most users will probably be running these on stock internals and won't go over 400. instead of using a huge turbo that'll never be used to its potential, you can use something smaller and just run it closer to it's limit (run more psi).

Yeah Ive been doing my research for about a year now my civic si is only an 07. Ive been ooking around reading forums and FAQ's since i purchased my car looking to find out which turbo i was going to spring for, granted yes AJP turbo is a bit pricey it is worth the cash for what u get out of it. its my definate plan within the next 2 years, while i accumulate the funds to purchase and tune this beast of a turbo, like most i dont just have 8k total including the following:
$4990 - kit
Tuning:
$795 - Hondata FlashPro( when it ships from honda that is)
$480 - Tuning
$620 - AJP fuel return kit
$297 - AEM Wideband
$320 - AEM boost control
$198 Competition Stage 4 clutch disk
$157 Ingalls Stiffy Engine Torque Damper
Total: $7857
to achieve 420 whp at 11 psi on a stock motor sounds awesome to me!!!
Gl to the rest of you in your decision on what to do on your vechicles..

I have the Greddy kit on my FG2 and I love it. E-Manage isn't so great, but it get's the job done. Expect to have to buy a few extra toys along with the kit (bov, bigger fuel pump, oil catch can, etc) if you want to put down some good numbers. If you're serious, I suggest going to the 8th generation civic specific forum and surfing the forced induction sub-forum. They cover most of the kits out there and most of the guys there are friendly and very helpful when it comes to questions.
edit: I guess you can't tell people about other forums on here? :/ Not a big deal, alot of the members from that forum surf here as well. It's all good.
