What to buy?
Hey all,
Would like to get some different opinions on what to buy, not sure where to post so trying it here.
I would like to buy/build a daily driver that gets decent gas mileage (when babied) and has A/C (live in SW FL). My total budget is $6000-$7000. My thoughts are:
1. EK Civic hatch and doing a B18C swap (as I'd like something with around 200 whp as well - rather rare around here too, but looks like I can get one for $2000-$2500 stock)
2. 1994+ Integra (prefer a GSR - seem to be getting pretty scarce around here - $5000+ Had thought about turbo-ing an LS, but not sure)
3. 5th Gen Prelude (seems I can get one for $4000-$5000 pretty easily around here - stay away from Type SH because of tranny?)
I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline to drive, so I don't mind working on the car in my garage for a while....gonna sell my motorcycle and do this - would like something with a manual tranny and around 200 whp, plus has a back seat to haul my 2 boys around in.
Thanks,
-Rich

94 Integra LS FTW, easley boosted, or install a ZEX kit, 75 shot, CAI, exhaust from header back.
Other then a lot of suspension work, I added a GSR transmission W/LSD, CAI and exhaust, [5Zigen] and a 75 shot Zex system, a very good DD, pretty good on gas when "babied", but will kick a** when I autocross it. 94

The goal of the car is to be my daily driver (to and from work - about 14 miles each way) and give my Ridgeline a break and have some fun with. I had a 94 GSR and a 02 WRX, and after a few years with the truck (which I love and will not get rid of) I'm gonna sell my motorcycle and buy something fun to drive.
I like the look of the EK hatches as well, but the others I listed I like too . Just looking for different opinions I guess and pro's/con's of each - i.e. - the Prelude is too heavy? The EK hatch too squirly?
I would like the car to look good, accelerate/handle well and get 2 adults and 2 kids to and from places reliably with A/C.
Thanks,
-Rich
