Newb tire questions for autox
Just attended my first autox event last weekend and it was a blast! Now I'm looking to get new tires for my car.
Priorities: Overall Cost, Having a decent Daily tire, Having fun on the course
What I currently have:
16x7" Enkei GF1s 16.5 lbs ea wrapped in 205/40 Kumho ASXs with about 20% tread left.
I'm about 90% sure I want to have two sets of tires, one for the street and one to swap for autox, but if there are tires I can put a bit of miles and still stay competitive I'm open if it saves a bunch of money. I don't plan on being too competitive at least this season with too many other priorities (tuition, etc), I just want to have fun.
I live in Washington, so decent rain traction on the daily tire is a must, the ASXs are great and 4 new ones can be had for a pretty reasonable $300-350.

option a) Just run these wheels w/ these tires until they are gone and then get something new that will be dual purpose (Kumho SPT or similar summer tire?).
option b) Run these wheels until they are gone, get something cheap for a daily, then use the 16s for an auto x tire.
option d) Find cheap set of wheels and get an AutoX only tire and just use the ASXs as a daily

Then comes the option of tires. The '96 Civic EX is stock everything for suspension. If I go dedicated autox tire:
Seems like 16 is a good size, small sidewalls, etc, but would a 15 be better? Already thrown in street modified if I move out of novice (don't plan too anytime this season) so sticking with a 14 is out of the question and I already know I won't really be competitive in it anyway at this point.
Thinking Kumho XS 215/45R16 since they would fit on the wheels fine?
The Star Specs didn't seem to have anything in a 16 that would work for me since they were a taller sidewall (correct me here, I know nothing)...
The RE11s seemed like the sizing was right, but $160/tire seems a tad much...
Sorry for the long post, just thinking things over and window shopping right now...
