h22 thrust washer damage?
I just picked up a h22a really cheap for a all motor build, I was told that a thrust washer had worn down and might of done some damage to the bottom end. I was ok with that since I planned on building it. Well I just got it torn apart and the only thing that seems to be damaged is rite under cylinder three's sleeve. I guess on under each sleeve on both sides of the block there is a place maybe a inch or two wide that looks machined and on number three's it looks like it was hit a few times( A few nicks ). Any opinions on if the block is a bust? Or is it something the machine shop could take care of? Also I've heard these sleeves cant be over bored that much, how far can you go on these ?

This is not my block but it is a h22 block that has been sleeved. I circled the spot where the damage has occurred, but since the block that is pictured seems to be sleeved it looks as if that area is machined down to a smaller area to fit the sleeves
honestly cant see the picture too well. i dont see any damage to the sleeves. dont see any cracks. the notches were done to them so the rods dont hit the bottom of the sleeves. i.e when using h-beam rods with a larger crank. if those are iron liners you probably wouldnt want to bore them anymore than they are especially if its just an iron liner thats at 89mm. check the bore and if its 88mm or less than you still might have some room to play with but those sleeves look to be 3-4mm thick. take a closer picture if you can on that circled area. i would want to see pics of the main caps and a straight above shot. also curious to what the crank looks like
