Default I'm getting driveshaft vibration under load.

I hit a speed bump not to long ago and I think it might have knocked my transmission mount a little bit as I felt a vibration when I would accelerate hard between 6k-9k. I was driving it gently then I let me brother borrow it last night while he was in town not I am getting a fairy solid vibration just cruising in 6th at about 65mph. I think I might have knocked the drive train out of line and my brother probably was ripping around only making it worse. I will be taking it in tomorrow to get it on a lift but has anyone seen a problem with this before? I'm fairly new to the Honda thing so I'm unsure if there is a flex disc or something along those line. Thanks in advance for the help.

Car is an AP1 with 91k.

Check your axles for the vibration. You may need to remove them, inspect and repack or replace as needed.

yeah its most likely one of your axles.

See if you feel vibration from one side more than the other, then replace that axle.

Is your car lowered?Cause eventually the axle will go bad when lowered pretty good, unless you have spacers for em.

If you already have the vibration, would the spacers cure it? or would you have to replace the axle with the spacers,if thats what it is.

Its lower now. I can't put spacers on as the rears are now tucked pretty well, might be back to stock ride height...

Axle spacers are what where talking about, not wheel spacers. One or both of your axles are probably bad. Try adding spacers (also called drive shaft spacers) or swapping inner cups. Two piece spacers are much easier to install BTW, so go for those.

So I have been researching drive shaft spacers, what level of difficulty am I looking at to install them. I have done CV axles on FWD cars a few times, never axles on a rear drive car so this will be a first (I will be getting some help).

You do not have to remove the axles. Get the two piece units and just unbolt and slide the spacers in. They go in between the diff and the axles. Very easy to install if you get the two piece spacers.

Will the addition of the spacers save me from having to buy new axles or are mine still toast?

I would like too, but I am super broke right now (college is a bitch). Can anyone point me in the direction of some quality axles? I called Honda and they are $670 per side, I can't afford that right now.

It's the CV cups that go bad, but it's hard to find replacements. Swapping the cups from one side to another should fix the issue but it's a real PITA. I have a pair of axles for sale if you need them. PM me if so...
