Removing spark plug tubes in F22B1 Head? Trying to remove valves, interference...
I've had to change the plug tubes in a older toyota head before and these threaded out. I was able to get them out with vise grips (I know a special tool exists) but I just used a socket near the same diameter to not damage the tubes.
Anywho, I'm rebuilding a F22B1 head from a 94EX and I am having a hard time getting the valves out with the valve removal tool I have. The spark plug tubes are interfering with the fork end of the valve spring compressor tool...
Any ideas? Are these plug tubes pressed in or threaded?
Thanks,
Jon

In the first pic the lines are the interference I'm talking about...
Pic two shows the tool installed. There is also interference on the side of the head. I have an alternate fork that is offset to use but its a tad larger and definitely won't fit with the spark plug tubes installed.
