planning on buying a 2002 civic hatchback si. i found one with 68,000miles , color is white, everything looks like new. the car has a salvage title due to being stolen for one day.(according to the owner). never been in an accident. he's asking price is $6.5k. but i can probably lower it down to $6k. is this a good buy?

Yeah. i paid 8k for mine @ 48k miles. it even came with a DC tie rod connector ... or something like that.

 

paid 10k for mine back in january when it had 38k miles

 

only one thing that bugs me is that its an 02, and its doesnt come with 5lug. thanks for the feedback. ill keep updates

 

my bol paid 5k for his 02 with 60k clean title so i dont know but if it ride good and it aint a lemon go for it............

i paid 9800 for mine with 61k. it was pretty mint but i want white like what your talking about. do it man thats a steal right there pretty much

 

Sold my '02 with 36k for $10,000 in late '05 with a clean title, one owner, DC Sport Headers, AEM V2 Intake, and a smile.

Biggest mistake of my life, but hey, we needed 4drs.

 

just got an 02 with a reconstructed title and 56000 miles for $5800. But it was the only black one I could find and it looks awesome and drove great. As long as it checks out and drives well who cares. For prices that low, you're not really gonna lose money on it. maybe take it to a mechanic just to be sure and run the carfax.
