Default New rear shoes pedal going to the floor

Well I just installed new rear brake shoes on my 95 lx. When I went to pump up the pedal the pedal goes to the floor. I checked for leaks and didnt see anything externally and the master cylinder has not moved. Also the ebrake makes a slight grind like noise and seems to be out of adjustment now. Where do I adjust it from ?

ok well I adjusted the brakes. The parking brake feels great. The pedal feels great if you pump it without the car on, nice and tight, feels like it did before changing the shoes. However once I turn the car on the pedal sinks. If I pump the pedal it will come up and feel tight. However once I stop pumping and sit there for a few moments the next time I press the pedal down it will sink to the floor.

I went reverse down my street to try adjust them alittle better but it seems to me its a hydraulic issue.

Make sure you bench bleed the brakes. It's probably just air in the lines.

bench bleed the brakes ? I only heard of BENCH bleeding a master cylinder. Do you mean just bleeding the brakes ? The was what I was thinking also.

Sorry, I know it's an hold thread but how did you get air in there for just replacing the shoes? Did you pulled the hand brake or push the pedal slightly before putting the drums on thus the cylinder went out and got air in?

Thanks.
