Default 15x8 CRX

I'm looking to run some 15x8 wheels with 225 50 15 tires for autocross on the front. What kind of offsets or fender mods are necessary?

15x8 +36 with a 225/45/15 works well with some fender rolling and camber.

7.5 is the limit for sts just incase you werent aware.

Search for the 949 racing post, as they go through fitment of a couple generations of civics.

Not running STS. Not sure what exactly I'm searching for, I sifted through a few pages of results and didnt see anything.

What exactly do you mean by fender rolling? Does that involve no longer using the plastic liner on the inside of the fender?

lol. fender rolling involves modifying the inner part of your fender to push it out a bit to clear wheels. you know that lip on the inside of your fender, you roll that up, and then push the fender out. there are "Proper" tools to do this with, I personally have done it with a baseball bat, a hammer and some 2x4's. lol. I never had to pull the lining out.

This is for a CRX...we're not as lucky as you EG and EK/EJ guys. All of the STS or HC CRX's I've seen with 225's have rolled the crap out of the fenders and attempted to flare them with not-so-clean results.

Perhaps someone here is the exception and can post pictures of a clean job done. Otherwise, you can TRY and find some J's fender flares for the front. They are discontinued. I have a set ready to install...as soon as my 15x8 949's show up in the mail next month. I'll post pics then.

I have a set of black rota slipstreams for sale 15x8 40mm offset, I ran them on my crx, I rolled the fenders and used wheel spacers which didn't cost much at all, and it was alot of fun..fast.

It's a simple answer to a simple question, you mentioned 949 and those wheels (15x8) with a 225/45 tire WILL fit.... they will even fit in the rear with a 205 tire (according to their comments on fitment)....

He never said anything about sts in the OP he just want to know about fitting 15x8 on a crx!

Never said anything about wheels not fitting. I actually pointed him to a thread showing that they would.

Is there usually clearance problems on the inside? I run a 15x6 stock Integra alloy with 195/50-15 R1Rs and I get a lot of rub on the inside, chewed a pretty good hole through the splash shield and rubbed the metal bare.
