Default What is the best way to prevent sleeves from rusting?

I have a motor that i am going to be taking the head off of to use it in my turbo build... however the block that i am taking the head off of is perfectly fine, and i plan to use it to drop into my daily driver but i wont be putting another head on the motor until prob a few months down the road.. i was wondering, what is the best way to stop the sleeves from rusting? i really want to keep this block fresh, the compression is perfect on all 4 cylinders, low mileage, an i plan on using it.. so if anybody could give me some good pointers i would appreciate it.. i was thinking about oil or wd-40.. but i am definitly open for better suggestions that have worked for people in the past.. thanks

anykind of petro product that wont run off, it wouldnt hurt to reapply it every once in awhile. Also keep it in a plastic bag UNSEALED. that will keep the **** off of it. If you seal it, it can trap moisture inside
