well I was bored today and decided to get rid of all the little things that bother the **** out of me when i look at my car. this was the main one. I guess the body shop did not take enough time when installing because i had a gap between the bumper and the headlights, it wasn't that bad, but noticeable by a very picky person.
So now on to the topic, I removed the bumper to adjust the bumper extension to try and make the bumper flush. Hmmmm... I unbolted the four 10mm bolts and raise the bumper extension up all the way. This helped, but the gap is still present.
Then I went on to pry up the metal tabs on the bumper extension to scoot the bumper a lil higher. now it almost fits like oem, but not quite. Now I notice something funny, with all four bolts tightened the passenger side of the bumper extension comes out more than the driver side. By this I mean that when sitting in the car, the left side of the bumper extension is closer to the cabin then the passenger side. Is this the way it is supposed to be??? The passenger side is about 6mm more to the front than the other side, but when I put the bumper on, it looks decent.
Anyone else notice this, or do I need to go back to the bodyshop and crush some *********???
Also, for those of you that have adjusted the bumper to fit flush, what other ideas can you give me besides the obvious two that are already listed. thanks in advance
