Default 95 Odyssey What To Do?

OK, first off as a noobie to the forums, I would like to say hello. I have a 1990 Accord LX 5-Spd with 141k and my wife was driving a 2001 Focus Wagon until a few days ago it started having mechanical issues. I work at a local GM dealer, and we took in on trade a 95 Odyssey LX with 137k. The unit was in pretty good cosmetic shape, and the mechanics looked it over and all they could see it needed was a valve cover gasket. I have the gasket replaced, payed $900 for the vehicle, and was off. After the drive home, I was a little concerned because the transmission was shifting a little harsh. I know that some Honda Automatic models do the same thing (my brothers 91 accord lx at least did the same). Is this something to worry about? Is this a normal thing? I dont mind it all that much, I am just worried about the transmission failing on my wife and son some day? Is this something to worry about?

Thanks all for your input!
