b18a1 dizzy problem

Default b18a1 dizzy problem

have a 90 dx hatch with complete si wiring.. keep throwing code 9 with 3 diff new dizzys. wiring and engine came out of the si and was running fine. ne other ideas as to what could be rong?

could a bad ecu mess up the dizzys?

well considering you have a dx, your supposed to use the dx harness and convert it to mpfi using the si harness you have a wiring issue. check the faqs and re do your wiring.

not considering i have the chassis harness to and the engine harness.. it will start up if i put a new distributor on it but if i leave it sit for a couple days it wnt start again. then if i put a new one on again it does the same..

add your mpfi wiring to the ecu

the hole chassis and engine harness is mpfi. i took everything out of an si which was running fine and no codes b4 taken ouit

don't be a douche just because you've got a problem.

the sensor that throws the code 9 is inside the dizzy, if you keep reusing new dizzies chances are you've got an improperly sheilded wire near the dizzy plugs causing the problem.

as stated, check the wiring.

that, or re-check the flashes to make 100% sure its a code 9.

when i had a code 9 a new (refurbished) distributer king dizzy solved my problem. Also, I call bullshit on you trying 3 new dizzys. You go to the dealer and pay for a brand new dizzy? doubt it.
