Default h22 or gsr

as title states..should i trade my gsr full swap for an h22 with a jdm tranny and hasports??..i wanna go with h22 because of the bigger bore size but dont want the low revs..also dont like how low the oil pan sits...i do love the gsr but the h22 would be a nice addition to the teg

any suggestions????????????

do the H22 swap IMO. and for even more fun piece together a turbo kit for around $1500 and your lookin at 250-300hp depending on how much boost u run. just dont forget the tune

You cant compare an H22 to a b18c5. b18c5 is the best Honda engine of all time, and there is no arguing it. Not to mention it is made for the Integra, and fits perfectly, with A/C, P/S, and the works.

its true the b18c is a very good engine but i still think the H series is the best bang for your buck, around 200 hp and 160 LBS torque stock, no replacement for displacement

I have an ek with h22a and i love it. I would say to go with the h, better hp and tq stock over the b18. Not sure a bout the 13's with that set up in a teg but you would be a bit quicker with the h setup compared to the b. That is my 2 cents

The H22 was not made to be put into an Integra... Thats my opinion. I love things to fit, work, and look OEM. I know a lot of people on HT dont feel the same way though.

an h22 is a great motor at stock and anything is comparable. try racing an h22 swapped dc and an ITR with a driver of the same skill level. its obvious the h22 would take the ITR. ITR's are not that fast and h22 fits fine in an integra. i never said an h22 is the better motor since anything can be built to be fast, im just saying if you want decent power with little modification then the h22 is the way to go. saying that which motor is best is only an opinion, not based on statistics.

I agree with you, Its strictly opinion. While some might want their car to be faster in the 1/4 mile, I might want the b18c5 with the unreal redline, and the amazing sound of VTEC. To each his own. I'm not saying it cant be done, because I know it can, But I've never seen an H22 put in an Integra with A/C, Power steering, ect. I just love the stock look and function.
