ok, this is my first car with ABS brakes, so sorry if this sounds dumb. under hard braking conditions, i can hear and feel in the pedal a pulsing/thumping. i think its just ABS kicking in, but as i said i have no real experience with an ABS car. i was worried something might be broken, but the more i tested it, the more i think its just ABS. please let me know if this is normal. thnx

 

That is the definition of ABS. It does in fact feel odd in Hondas, for some reason. Almost like something is hitting the brake pedal.

You shouldn't feel it under normal braking, but during an aggressive stop, or trying to brake over a pothole, you will.

 

yes its normal , happens alot if your turning fast in reverse and breaking. my car did have a slightly better pedal feel after going to a big brake kit. it doesnt pulsate as much as stock.
