2000 si seats in 89 hf?
Got a set of 2000 Civic Si seats today. Tried a pan swap, no luck. Just a lot of fabric rings that needed to be replaced. Not a bolt in by any means. Any somewhat easy way of getting this done? Aside from cutting, chopping, welding and praying?
I'm open to ideas and suggestions. The 20 year old seats need to GTFO.

Same happen to me. Bought some 1997 ex seats and though i would do pan swap. In the end it didn't work out because 88-95 civic pans are screw through bottom and 96-00 civic are on tha side. I just did a diagonal bolt in with just two bolts holding down. Thats the only way to do it. bolt the flat one in the back and diagonal bolt from that on on both sides. They will work.
two of my cars just had holes drilled in the floor pans, then 1/2" carrige bolts used to secure the seats to the floor and to prevent grinding on speed bumps

and if that doesn't work out, i've got some welding skills, got some spare **** to make rails/whatever else i need, and safety inspection's aren't a big deal around here. we don't even have to pass emissions. rock on for bum **** nowhere.
Thanks for the inspiration Mog. Actually googled it, found an old HT thread (imagine, the search engine on this site sucks ***) and it was for prelude seats into a 1st gen CRX. helped me on the part i was stuck on. seats are now in and they're niiiiice. the old seats had so much foam missing on the bolsters and metal was sticking out... not fun.
didn't have my camera or i'd have done a write up. might do it again though so i'll put one up. the hardest part is re-skinning the seat.
to do this all you have to do is cut all the rings holding the foam on, tear the old **** off and burn it and keep the metal pans and seat frame. then peel up the new seats and swap the foam over. it's not gonna fit perfect so make that **** fit. then re-skin them with the new fabric (BITCH) and make it fit. then bolt the pan and frame back together, smoke em if you got em, and bolt that **** back into your car.
thanks for the help though guys. appreciate it.
