so i took it off to clean it and take it apart and what not.

Upon taking it apart one of the screws holding the plate in tact snapped, now i have the thread i there and i tried to drill it out and it went of course and now the hole is massivly big and stripped and totaly ****ed up. anyway to fix this or do i need get a whole new one.

 

get a new intake itll prolly be pretty cheap if its an ls

So you just screwed up the IACV? IIRC OBD1 D-series IACVs are the same, and are extremely easy to find used.

 

if he broke the bolts with the iacv on he should have tried vice grips, i think hes talkin the head cuz u cant really mess up an iacv by making the holes too big unless you went way over

 

i got the iacv off the engine easily.

i started taking the two 8 mm bolts off the end to get the spring and center pieces out.

The first one came off easy, the 2nd one snapped the head off as i turned it.

so the top came off n i cleaned the entire thing and took it apart n reassembled it.

but i tried drilling out the one screw that was stuck in the hole for the cover but the bit i used went off middle and drilled into the thread and made the hole bigger then it accualy is, so i used a screw remover set to get the rethread bit to rethread the hole but the bolt wont fit im trying to find new bolt to fit but having difficulty ;p

cause of the way the hole is lol im trying to get a clear pic but the gd camera only takes white blurry pics of it if i get to close and nto clear enough far away grr

 

just get a new one.

 

does ur sensor have a electrical plug on it or just 2 hoses if it has hoses its the fitv on the bottom of the throttle body but yes i agree they are cheap used get one fro a junk yard
