has anybody here done a K20 swap before? If so, where and how much?

Any ligit place will do, or anybody or local professional that does the job right.

Somewhere in the state of Maryland or any other other close state that surrounds it.

Well, I called a shop thats local.. I got an estimate of about 9500$. But thats the k20a2, not the k20a. Also I swap a post on team-integra, and he got a JDM K20a. He got it done at hybrid racing and said that it cost him around 14k$. But thats when it was still a fairly new swap... Thats just my .02$.

 

I was looking into the swap and come up with :
between 4500 and 6000 depending on were and what k series engine.
2800 more for everything you need to get the motor in, plus ac and ps kits, this also includes kpro.

that would range from 7300 to 8800 to do the swap.

do these prices sound crazy?

 

no not crazy but that's doing all the labor yourself.

I'd never go through it all again for free, ever. Between shaving bay and tucking ect it was alot of work. And really 9k just to have 200 whp? My LS/Vtec runs with most of the K swaps around here and has no where near that much money in it. It has many pro and con poin of views, just do your research and think about what your overall goal is.
