Do manual fold jdm mirrors still use same plug or is there still some cutting?

Do manual fold jdm mirrors still use same plug or is there still some cutting?
On JDM mirrors which are manually folding but are power adjusting, is it plug and play or do I still have to cut up my existing plug and pair it up with the jdm one?
