So i picked up a b20z2. 146hp right? the bigger compression pistons right? WELL.....thers a 98 stamped on the botttom part of theblock under the b20z2 stamp. WTF??? it hought b20z was only 99-00

no because my Cylinder head is stamped in 93 but it is put in a 94 del sol happens all the time...Car makers put out their next year model before the new year starts...

When are the 99 model year cars released? Aug/sep of the previous year, that is why the casting is dated the way it is.
