How do I replace the strange looking parts that hold the trunk open on my '98 Civic EX?
I finally got the two 'rods' which Honda calls "spring, R.trunk opener" and "spring, L. trunk opener", as well as a "Clip" that holds the rods in the middle.
The "Clip" somehow attaches to the roof of the trunk. Anybody out there know how it goes?

Not sure if those older ones are much different, but on most newer models like odysseys or pilots you just pry the clip off and they pop off then. Hope that might help somehow, don't have a 98 around to look at.
