crx hood question

Default crx hood question

im not to sure but im sure there is t thread bout this, but anyways what are u doing with the crx hood after a b swap??? are u cutting some or all the webbing or what?? i dont want to cut out my webbing, so i was wondering if u have ideas what to do..if i have to i will but anyways thanks for the help....

What mounts are you using? My stock hood fits just fine with a B series swap.

B18's rub, B16's don't with hasports. Cut out the center webbing over the valve cover.

Years ago, we just used to run it for a few days so it would rub the paint off the hood where it was contacting. Then we'd torch and bang in where it made contact. As long as the steel was glowing and you made sure to keep heating it, we never had a problem messing up the skin.

none of my B series swaps have rubbed my hood at all. I'v used hasports with my b16 and b20 and Innovative for the LS swap and never had a problem.

Some of the other brands have rubbing issues since they sit the engine about 3/16" higher. Not a big deal.
