EDIT: Mounted...sorta. Updates in last post
So after going back and forth for quite a while in my head, I finally decided to get some wheels since I needed to buy new summer tires anyway. Why not get some wheels while I was at it?
These are Carving Stark IIIs by Work. Got them brand new from a member on s2ki. I heard they were last made in 1994 or something. Anyway, they arrived today.
Front: 17x8 +43
Rear:17x9 +47
Going to try to put existing Falken Azenis RT615 215/45s on the front and purchase new 245/40s for the rear. This is the first time in my life attempting something that's somewhat aggressive. What are your thoughts? Will I have to do any crazy fender work? I was told maybe and run some negative camber. I'm already at -2.5 with OEM AP2v2 lowered on Espelir ASDs. Not sure what else I will have to do with these.
Here are some pics I took a few moments ago.
Packaged really nicely.

This is the rear wheel.

Test fitting.

So what do you think? Doable?

I'm still scared. I'm entertaining a trade for some Advan Racing Version 2 wheels that don't require any modifications. But with shipping and whatnot (to/from Hawaii), it might be worth the effort/time/money.

I either have to roll/run negative camber, or I have to get aftermarket fender flares (ASM, Js, etc). I'm fine with the first option since I'm already at a pretty aggressive camber, but I'm definitely not keen on the aftermarket fender flares.
I'm looking back and forth at the Advan pictures, and I think I'm gonna do the trade. Sigh...
You should not have to add any camber to run these but you will have to roll your fenders and re-locate the tab. It's easy to do, but if you are unsure about it take it to someone who has done this before. The last thing you want is a creased fender.
i think they will look sweet, with a suitable drop and stretch tyres! (probably won't be very safe to drive mind!)
do you guys have the same law as we do in the uk about wheel/tyre widths, ie. wheels are not allowed to stick out past the bodywork?
maybe get the wheels machined to reduce the offset?
mat.

Rolling the fender, relocate the tab, and cutting the bumper are a minimum. Not hard to do or get done, so don't be afraid of that. It's really not a big deal.
Azenis run wide, and I think a 245 will be a problem. I think you will need more camber to fit it, or a 235 or 225 tire. If the 245 doesn't fit, try the 215 tire from the front. It will at least tell you if it's possible before messing with the camber.
The fronts should be fine with a roll.
BTW, those wheels are bad-***. Very unique. Keep them!

Rolling your fenders is about all youll have to do,i wouldnt be sweatin it,im runnin same setup with different wheels but with a +22 in front and +27 in rears, and i had to roll, cut, and relocate to make work, but with your higher offsets, youll be fine.

I replied to your thread in the metro section as well shamoo. Its not that bad, I actually love the Carving Starks. You would probably need to just roll your fenders and call it a day. The -2.5 your running should be fine.
Im going to be running an 18x10 rear with a 45 offset. Stock body but with some work needed. kekeke.

...Afraid to mount?
Crush the rear fender lip, crush the front fender tabs and roll the lip a little bit. Cut a small slit on the fender liner where the tire will be (optional).
Add negative camber till they fit the way you want. It's not hard.
You probably don't even need to relocate the rear bumper tab with 245s and espelir springs.
I didn't relocate mine until I got 255s..and my car is considerably lower than espelirs sit.

I'm running 8.5" +42's in the back...I rubbed with 245s and 235s on -2.9deg camber. I'm going to roll fenders and relocate the bumper tab, and probably trim the bumper.
Anybody got any links for relocating the bumper tab? I haven't gone under there to see where it can go yet...just want an idea of what it's like.

It's very obvious. I have pics...but just seeing it will make it more clear. You remove it, grind the metal down or cut it. Then you drill the hole for the bolt towards the back and repaint everything very carefully so there's no rust. It's easy as hell.
You're probably just rubbing on the fender lip. I had 17x9 +45s with 245/40/17s and -3deg of camber (around 1.5 finger gap from tire to fender). I rolled the fender and there was NO rubbing. I didn't have to relocate the tab till I got KWs and went a little lower with a 255/40/17.

Used my dad's car and mine to get all the pieces back to my house. Beautiful day today.

Fronts. Definitely need a roll in the front.

Rears. They fit, but I need to bend the little fender spot back in some areas.

Whole car shot with the test fit. Also need new lugs as the acorn style OEMs won't work with these.

My mom must love me.
This is the garage at the moment. I will do some cleaning this weekend.
