Hey everyone, hows it goin! Alright, i'm sorry if this has been asked but i just seem to be missin it. I've been searchin for the past hour looking for posts or a file which says which radio's will fit in each car but just cant find it...

I used to have a real nice alpine cd player in my 1990 civic but some dickmouth at school (iowa state university) stole it.

I had gotten the car without a radio so until i got the cd player, i used my friends old stock 1991 (i think) honda accord radio which worked perfect so that is what is back in there now.

I'm lookin to put a cd player in there and am not really wantin to put another alpine in there but will if i have to. I'm lookin at just getting some cheap stock one that will fit the harness without any modification or other parts.

So, does anyone know which year honda cd players will fit my 1990 honda civic dx sedan or am i stuck with just a stock tape player/radio until i bite the bullet and get another alpine...

I'm not too sure of the mounting, but I know the harness is the same for just about every Honda up to 98. The Accord switched over in 96 to the new harness. I have heard people using CRV cd players because they are a dual din 6 disc player. You can get a reverse harness for the new radio, and a stock harness for the car harness, mate the 2 and you can put in a radio from just about any car.

 

the last generation of prelude cd players fit but u need a reverse harness to wire it up. 70-1721 and 71-1720 i think are the part # for harnesses

 

i think that u can use one of the integras i dont really remember the year but my friend put integra radio in his 89 hb dx and work fine ill try 2 find the year

 

Stuff like this you need to get a little inventive with the mounting, using angle brackets and such.

Gonna try to do somethin with it in the next week or so. Depending on the unit i use, i'll figure out a nice way to make everything fit nice and clean...
