these plugs have been discontinued from local auto parts stores.. what are you guys running in place of them?

 

I just picked these up 2 days ago.. don't know where you're trying to get them from most are not on the shelf, and are special order.

Check http://www.sparkplugs.com - you can even cross reference by car. Go by the Acura RSX/TSX.. or by stock number 2975.. those are 7s.

 

My supplier still has them in stock, along with myself having a **** load here in stock.

 

NGK changed the stock #, and the Auto Stores did not change it in their system. Oreillys can get them though.

 

yeah all the local parts stores tell me they are discontinued. you can get them from www.sparkplugs.com the new stock# is 4644 so use that if you go into a store. still havent had any luck with that locally yet, i ask every time.

 

Order stock number 4644.

It is the exact same plug as the old 6097's.

Just stopped by Advance Auto Parts and picked up two sets of the 4644s, right off the shelf. Seems like they just wanted to change the packaging or something. . .

 

yep seems to be the case.. they just changed the part number.. My local store has them with that new stock number.

 

You can use BCPR7ES as well

 

What is the deal with those? Are they still cheap and plentiful? LOL. . .

 

they changed the stock number on those too. new one is 6282. they aren't "v-power" but i still use them interchangabley with the bkr7e. they both run about $2 a plug

 

when the BKR7E's are not available they usually have the BKR7E-11 which is the same plug with a different gap for certain machines. i regap my plugs anytime i replace them anyways so just another option for when they are out of stock.

 

looks like we are running into a common theme here. those have also changed stock numbers to 5791. the problem is that you cant walk into the store and ask for bkr7e, you have to use the stock number so all these old numbers we are use to 6097, 3330, 1283 arent working.

luckily it seems like the auto stores are starting to update there database with the new numbers. im gonna check my local advanced auto this weekend

 

BCPR7ES-11's Stock # 1095 @ any napa just re-gap and go.

no issues up here

around me if you ask for a part number the employees look at you like your crazy. all they know how to do is type in a year make and model. its kinda sad

 

you should come to my town haha! 2 of my friends and myself work at all 3 parts stores on the main drag part time

I'm sorry to wake this thread up from the dead but I'm having trouble. I've called advance auto part and autozone and gave them 4644 and 6282 and both places tell me that they can't get them at all. Those are the new numbers everyone here is saying to use and I get nothing. I need them fast so I can't wait for online shipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Adam

 

I bought a set recently and the receipt says ngk 4644 I would try another parts store got mine at Napa .

 

Last time I walked into Advance and asked for them, the guy looked them up and said, "Nope." Then he went and checked the shelf and brought me the two sets I had asked him for. . . .

Well I only have 1 autozone and 4 advance stores to choose from in my area. So napa is out of the question. I've even went on www.sparkplugs.com and told the guy what car to look up and still get told they have none in stock and none at any of the warehouse's. I guess I have to order them if it's a last resort but I don't feel like paying $20 for 4 plugs. This is what I get when I go to the advance website and look up ngk plugs for a 1994 audi s4 with the 2.2l turbo motor.
