Default D series lsd transmission

I got 97 del sol with d16y8 with 5s pd trans
my friend is giving me an jdm 92-95 civic trans with lsd.
Is it a straight swap????
which one is better to keep

is it a lsd for a b series? make sure its for your d. if it fits hell ya ****.

just keep the 5spd tranny that came with it and sell me the lsd tranny...j/k of course...go with the lsd trans

Is it a straight swap? The trans is and the differential, the LSD, should drop right in. 92-00 stuff generally is, aside from the OBD issue.

Which is better? The LSD is better than a non LSD tranny. The 96-00 has steel shift forks, and is supposed to be better. I haven't heard of the 92-95 tranny really being that bad though, so I say just use the 92-95 with the LSD if it shifts fine and everything.

The truck guys have air and cable actuated lockers. Why is the best that we have either LSD, open diffs or spools? I know our diffs are way smaller, but something has to be possible to get a locker you could lock up for launches and open for daily driving.
