thinking of gutting my civic
i just want to gut the rear, so i have an excuse for not giving peope rides, without just removing the rear seats
is it as easy as just removing seats, carpet ect? anyone have a pic of a gutted 96-00 civic coupe/si? so that i can get an idea of what im getting my self into.

ive never seen a clean gut IMO. keep the seats, tell your friends to get a job a buy a car. haha, and plus when you take a girl on a date shes gonna think your car is a pile of .
haha
just my thinkin.

its loud, cold in the winter and looks like garbage. but its your car do what you like. its a good days work ahead of you to take out the seats and all the consoles to remove the carpet and reinstall it all again.

Well I have an eg hatch and its fully gutted out I only driver it when its sunny and when im going racing so dats probaly like only on the weekends but I also tucked my wires and have half a roll cage and chassis and strut bars all over so it look nice and neat. But its wat u like not wat others like. As for my eg everyone likes it.
just tell them the car is to low and will bottom out with them in it,
its very easy to take out,
mine is taken apart right now, so ill try to get a pic later,
if you take the carpet out it better be a race car, its going to be loud as hell and cold in winter

I took my back seats, and rear panels out because I got s2k seats and the backs don't match. I personally don't mind the look but a lot of people don't like it. It does indeed get much louder inside the car. I plan on putting the plastic pieces back in and making some sort of plywood/subwoofer carpet rear seat delete...
second what everyone saying. me personally i will never gut my car unless i need a cage. It makes the car look cheap and loud. i'm trying to go for the clean look. if you can run 10s with full interior like my friend mad props to u.

but to OP. keep your back seats. complete cars that are fast looks cleaner than gutted slow cars.
I didn't do it for weight reduction. I am not really pressed to have back seats anyway. I don't ride anyone back there. Plus I am trying to sell my Si interior as a set... I think when the civic seats are done in leather they look goofy and cheap anyway...
