i searched around but i couldn't find anything. I just got a jdm gsr motor with the ecu and the harness on it needs a bit of repair. but i was wondering if i could use that same harness to connect to the other connections without any problems or should i just start looking for a usdm harness?

I did the same thing as you. I had a JDM B18C1 into my USDM DC2. It is really easy to use the USDM harness, seeing as you have left hand drive, and the JDM right hand drive harness will not pair up. The connections that should be on the left side of the engine bay are on the right with the JDM harness.

What I did was pick up a used harness for $80 locally, and used that. One thing you must be aware of is that the USDM harness has a few extra sensors (like the crankshaft position sensor) that the JDM one does not. Dont freak out if you have some extra plugs. Make sure you put the harness on before putting the engine in the car.

On a side note, while you have the engine out, pick up a motor mount insert kit or aftermerket hasport or innovative mounts. I wish I did when my engine was out. Good luck.
