Just wondering if we have an immobilizer in our 98 R's? I'm buying some alarm components and need to know if I'll need a bypass module.

No, im pretty sure only 00-01 had them.

Actually some early model 98's didnt have them but most 98 integra's have an immobilizer, that was the first year honda unsed them in the integra's look at your key solenoid and if it black you have an immobilizer if its silver you dont have an immobilizer, and acuras with an immobilizer us the newer fatter key nad the ones that dont use the older slender style key

 

My 98 doesn't have one nor do any other 98 ITRs.

 

My key is slender and not bulky like my newer Hondas.
