i've been having a problem with my rear driver side door since i purchased my LX. at first it took 2 to 4 tries to get the door open so i pulled the panel messed with it saw that it had something to do with a little piece of plastic that was worn out on the actual lock. the plastic gave it a little extra lift when you pulled on the door handle. so i ran a piece of wire in place where that plastic should be and it worked fine but the handle got harder to pull. just wondering if anybody had a problem like this and if so how to fix it thanks.

 

Yeah, I have this problem. Still dealing with it

 

i'm thinking about just hitting up the wrecking yard today and picking up another lock. hopefully that fixes it

in for updates, mine wont open anymore, passenger rear door

 

i just got too frustrated and decided to go to the junk yard and get a slightly used lock. door works perfect now. got a bunch of little goodies too, saw an LS go for $175, got there too late...

 

It's fairly difficult to service parts in the handle mechanism, your better off keeping the mechanism complete and swapping the whole bit.

 

ditto, i think thats the best way to do it
