I have an OBD2 JDM d15B, I have been running it on my 97 dx ecu (no vtec) which was hooked to a y7. I just got an ecu from an ex (that runs a y8 with vtec) so that I can hook up the vtec. The car starts ok, but when trying to give it gas, it sputters, but in a certain way.. its like it hits.. misses... hits... misses it almost seems like if you took two injectors off, any ideas.

 

Is your check engine light on ?
If so, check the malfunction indication codes.
