Guys -

I usually search the forum for most of my issues but I haven't had luck finding this one.

There is a pretty nasty sounding (almost metal to metal grinding) noise when my car is initially started. I popped the hood and it is coming from the belt drive area. Not sure if my alternate or something else is wearing out. The stranging thing is as soon as start to drive it goes away within 15-30 secs. But once I turn it off and start it back up it comes back.

Any ideas?

 

Anybody have any ideas? Trying to avoid taking it to the shop to get diagnosed. If it is the alternator or something else I can easily replace that. Let me know.
