So, I need to remove the plastic that covers the steering column and its guts...

The screws on the bottom are out, and it's stuck in there just as well as if I didn't take them out... did the PO superglue it or what? Any suggestions would be great!

after you take those screws off (there should be 3) you have to get your hand on the top part of it and pry the plastic apart.

 

what kind of screws are they ?

 

there is also a metal ring around the front almost like a c-clip. What is the problem you are fixing that requires you to remove the cover?

 

 

i did this and now i can drive the car lol
