90' CRX DX for $400?
I got a friend who is gonna sell me his 1990 CRX DX for $400 has 17" rims no rust and a few other little mods in the engine bay. Needs a new header, radiator, headlight housing and headlight, and hood also the middle piece that runs from side of the headlight to the other headlight is bent in. I can take pictures of where it was damaged in the middle and right side of the car. So I figure that would cost about $350-$4000 for all that. What do yall think am I not thinking realistically? If it wont take a ton of work I'll probably pick it up saturday. oh and keeping in mind im not really wanting to build this up much. Just need to get it working and running well for under 1k for a grocery getter and daily driver for work
The pictures were before he had the accident and thats why I need to replace those parts.

Thanks a ton yall

Headlights are generally a cheap item(around $30 for a used set). Headers run about $100 and are available everywhere. The center piece is kind of a hard to find in good condition. Radiators can be found for less than $80. The biggest problem is gonna be getting the hood. The best bet for that would be a local scrapyard because shipping on them tends to get high.
Overall, I'd say it's a very realistic possibility for a daily driver. Just make sure it's mechanically sound as well before you do get it.

When I bought my '91 DX I paid 800 for it; I ended up shelling out another $1000 to get it fixed up afterwards. Some of my problems were visible and I realized there would be cost, but after taking it in for inspections I discovered there was a huge crack in the exhaust (figures; the thing is loud), the alternator was bad, the left front inner and outer tie rods were damaged, my coolant was old and needed to be flushed, the oil pan gasket is leaking, and one of the tires was at second rubber.
I have yet to replace the tires, oil pan, and exhaust (it did pass emissions successfully, though I have doubts for next time), and there's still some other odds and ends that need to get done. On the bright side however, the car is mechanically sound; at 201,000 miles I burn no oil and the transmission, though a little rough doesn't miss a shift.
I'm giving this information because its likely there will be a lot more wrong with the car than you might think. Give it an extremely thorough inspection, especially the undercarriage, and drive it for a bit before you consider it.
When you get the hood, though, stay away from EF sedans; they sadly aren't interchangeable...
