Some pics of my 3" downpipe
Tacked and ready to be tigged:
Compared with a section of 2.5" piping:
Turbo mounted on the jig for the manifold we're making:
I'm excited to get this thing rolling...
BTW this downpipe will be used with a 3" Thermal cat-back and a removable test-pipe.

No doubt a flex section would always be added insurance, but like all things, it is not in the spirit of affordable hard core high performance parts. The stock D series front exhaust does not have a flex section either, but like all things, if people want to pay to the extra money for flex sections they can always be added. I designed this downpipe with the hardcore motor enthusiast in mind who wants maximum performance at an affordable price without all the unnecessary bells and whistles that line their(the sellers) pockets. Durablility will not be a problem with this 3" downpipe nor will the Aircraft quality 321 stainless steel manifold. Wait till you see the 321 turbo manifold...she will be a beauty!

My stock 96 DX did not have a flex...which is probably why the manifold had a massive crack down the middle. Of course, I have a flex on my downpipe and my Revhard has a hairline crack in it, but at least it doesn't leak! Gotta spend that $50 extra on the flex if you don't want to spend another few hundred hardcore dollars if you split your turbo mani wide open.
Oh sorry I didn't see a stainless turbo manifold there....whoops, there isn't one at at so WTF are you talking about?
