Washing Windshield Opens Power Window !?!
Hi all,
This is a strange one... The drivers side front power window is a little temperamental at the best of times (rolling up OK but then rolling down again without touching the switch etc.), but now it has a new trick:
With the window closed and driving, when the windshield washers are used the drivers power window winds itself down! This of course means that all the water that you just put on your windshield is now either on the interior of the door or in your face depending on the speed you're doing at the time.
This means it's time to try and sort out the problem but I have no clue where to start - what has the windshield washers to do with the power windows?
Any hints or guidance would be much appreciated. Is there a wiring harness diagram available on-line?
Regards,
Ian.

You could have a short in a switch or even a bad connection..hard to tell without testing

The multifunction switch stalk (which includes the wiper functions) are tied in to the Multiplex Control Unit (MCU) located next to the underdash fuse/relay box.
The car has three MCUs, one near the underdash fuse/relay box, the other two are part of the driver side and passenger side door lock/power window switche assemblies. They are also tied in.

XR6R, I don't know that I can help at all with that model as I only have manuals for USDM models. We didn't get a 1.8l version of the Accord, just the 2.3l and 3.0l.
Redbull, I thought the MCUs were in the drivers door, on the driver's side fuse/relay box and on the passenger's side fuse/relay box. Or is the UK model that difference from USDM?
