Default pnf ecu in base rsx??help

i have a base rsx(k20a3), and i got a ep3 ecu and ep3/type-s intake manifold off my brother, so i was wondering if its possible to run those two in my base, given the rsx base runs the gay plastic intake manifold, the base ecu is set up to run the dual runners and the ep3 ecu runs the prb intake manifold on a k20a3,which the base also has.

so would the prb and ep3 ecu run the base a3 normal, or would i also need to swap out the engine harness.

if its gonna be a problem, the ep3 ecu will be up for sale

thank you for any help possible

You do realize that the intake manifold design (dual-runners) is for fuel economy purposes, right? You aren't going to gain any power.

You can swap the ECU but you'll need Honda/Acura to reprogram the key-fob to match the ECU. Anti-theft sort of thing.

i do realize that, but it saves me 200-300 bucks for a PND, and a headache to find a base dc5 ecu so i can complete my auto to manual swap, and base rsx and ep3 ride the same motor with just the difference of the dual runner IM on the base and the PRB IM on the ep...what i will be looking into this weekend is if the sensors differ from each. if they are the same than i will be better off completing the swap than waiting for a PND ecu at a good price

Ahh gotcha, my apologies didn't realize you were doing a swap. The sensors are all identical so you shouldn't have any problems.

Good luck man
