trans fluid change 90 crx
just put in new ZC into car, the trans filler bolt is super tight and easily going to strip, any other holes you can full through like the h and f series? any helo greatly appreciated. going to try removing rear mount to push motor down a bit so a socket+wrench will fit on the plug. thanks in advanced!
when you do want to get the bolt off, i have found that the best tool is a good ratcheting wrench, but they are like $80-100 for a set of 8 of them at sears (not the big clunky ones, the polished looking ones) as long as you have the wrench straight on the bolt you can put a ton of pressure on it. i usually end up kicking it to break the tranny fluid bolt loose heh... not the best method, granted.
I would recommend a true tranny flush (as in drain, add new fluid, drive it and repeat). No matter which hole you use to drain (even the actual drain plug) it will leave a considerable amount of the old fluid in there.
The bolt that looks like a cap on the top of the trans, under the starter or next to it. I think It holds down a shift link spring. It would work as a fill point I think!
