Icon4 Civic rear bearing recall

So I took my car in for service today recieved a oil change and while look at the 09 civic the service rep walks up with a paper from honda. I reply is everything ok with the car, his response was, well just to inform you honda has a recall on the rear bearing i said damn another issue with this damn car. Then i ask how many car are affected by this recall and he stated majority of the cars in 06-07. I then asked how long was the turn around and if they have the part and they stated yes the part is in stock and it takes about 2 hrs. So since the service dept was closing on sat my car goes in today for that recall. Just wanted to know if anyone else had to same issue or had it changed i have the actuall document from honda and yes its true accurate info about the rear bearing. So if you haven't heard of this issue you might want to have your car check to be certain your car isnt affected by this new recall

I had mine checked, no problems with it. If you were affected, you should've received a letter from Honda.

The inspection of the o-rings takes 2 minutes and 1.5 of those minutes is lifting the car in the air. Of all the ones I did I found 1 that needed a bearing.

Weve done prolly a few hundred of the inspections here since it came out and i dont think weve had a single one that needed it replaced.

Very weird that they approached you and did warranty work on a car that doesn't fall into the TSB's vin range...not even close.

yeah i myself have done over 100 of these recalls, and have only had to replace one set of rear wheel bearings... i havent heard of many people that have done that many of them, its very odd to have that oring rolled and letting water into the rear cylinder...
